Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (including the End-User License Agreement in Section 2) form a binding agreement between you and Voltify Agency ("we", "us") for the Bedrock desktop and companion applications, the update service at voltifyagency.com/bedrock, and any paid plans (Free, Pro, Lifetime, Team). By downloading, installing, or using Bedrock — or by purchasing a plan — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Bedrock.

1. What Bedrock is

Bedrock is a local-first workspace: documents, tasks, AI agents, projects, databases, calendar, chat, files, people, analytics, diagrams, diary, and an AI assistant. Your workspace data is stored on your own devices; optional encrypted cloud sync, AI features, and team collaboration are described in-app and on /bedrock. No account is required to use the Free tier.

2. License (EULA)

• We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Bedrock on devices you own or control, for lawful personal or business use.
• Free: 1 user, local use. Pro / Lifetime: 1 user, including encrypted sync across your own devices. Team: one licensed seat per user; every active team member needs a seat.
• License keys (BDRK-XXXX…) are single-use and non-transferable. Do not share, resell, or publish keys. Keys found shared or resold may be revoked.
• You may not: circumvent license checks or usage limits; copy or redistribute the app except through the official installer/portable builds; use Bedrock to violate anyone's rights or break the law.
• Bedrock self-updates from voltifyagency.com/bedrock/updates.json (checked roughly every 4 hours plus on demand). Updates download over HTTPS and install only after SHA-256 verification. You consent to these automatic update checks; you can trigger or defer installs in Settings → Updates.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use Bedrock for illegal content or activity; harass, spam, or harm others (including bulk unsolicited team invites); abuse sync, API, webhook, or AI endpoints (rate limits apply and abusive clients may be throttled or blocked); upload malware or attempt to disrupt the update or licensing infrastructure.

4. AI features — important disclaimer

Bedrock includes AI features (Aquiles assistant, autonomous agents, AI document generation, AI-drafted diagrams). AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or biased. It is provided for productivity assistance only and is not professional advice — do not rely on it for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions without qualified human review. You are responsible for reviewing anything AI creates or sends in your workspace.

AI runs on keys and models you configure (your own OpenAI/Anthropic key or your local Ollama instance). Your relationship and billing with those third-party providers is between you and them; their terms apply to that usage.

5. Payments, renewals, cancellation

• Prices are in USD: Pro $5/month or $50/year · Lifetime $149 once · Team $10/user/month or $100/user/year. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
• Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Cancel anytime — paid features keep working until the end of the current billing period, then the workspace returns to the Free tier. Your local data is never deleted or locked when a plan ends.
• Team seats can be added or removed; seat changes are prorated by Stripe.
• Failed payments get a short grace period, then paid features pause until billing is resolved.

6. Refunds

Billing disputes and refund eligibility are governed by our Refund & Billing Policy, which is part of these terms.

7. Privacy

How we handle data — including what stays on your device versus what we process (payments, licensing, update checks, support) — is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

8. No warranty

Bedrock is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, uninterrupted operation, or that defects will be corrected. You are responsible for keeping your own exports and backups (one-click JSON/Markdown export and per-launch backup are built in — please use them).

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Voltify Agency and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business — even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim arising from Bedrock is limited to the amount you paid for Bedrock in the 12 months before the claim (or $0 if you use only the Free tier). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

10. Termination

We may suspend or revoke licenses for material violations (e.g., key sharing/resale, abuse of infrastructure, illegal use), with or without notice where required for security. You may stop using Bedrock at any time by uninstalling — your local data stays in your own files. Sections 4, 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.

11. Intellectual property

Bedrock's software, branding, and marketing content are owned by Voltify Agency or its licensors. Your content is yours — we claim no ownership over anything you create in your workspace, and local-first architecture means we never even see it.

12. Disputes

Contact us first at patricio@voltifyagency.com — most issues resolve with an email. Any dispute not resolved informally shall be settled by binding arbitration on an individual basis (no class actions), to the extent permitted by your local law. Nothing here limits your mandatory consumer rights, including the right to bring claims in your local courts where the law guarantees it.

13. Changes

We may update these terms as Bedrock evolves. Material changes will be noted here with a new "Last updated" date and, where practical, inside the app's Updates section. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
